Why will Phantom Blade Zero not launch after an update?
First check whether mods are installed. Some third-party mods are incompatible with PC version 1.0302256. Disable them, verify files and retest. Without mods, follow the actual startup error and check required components and the system environment.
Troubleshooting order
Close the game and launcher. Move manually installed mods outside the game folder, keep copies and record their locations. Do not delete save files as part of mod cleanup.
Verify files through the launcher. After verification, restart the launcher and PC and test without mods.
If the error names VC++, install or repair the requested x64 runtime. If it says the device is unsupported, use the device-compatibility checklist.
What to record
Record the game version, launcher, GPU driver, complete error and mod status. Distinguish no response, exit after the logo and a crash while loading a save.
