Progression, saves & missables
Can you miss Phantom Blade Zero side quests, and what should you finish before progressing?
Yes. Some quests and rewards have story cutoffs. Check local objectives and key conversations before each region’s ending; returning after the credits does not automatically restore failed quests.
Early checks
For 坚岩护腕, speak to the Outpost disciple before Peng Meng, then again after defeating him and before White Serpent and Crimson Viper, and inspect the grave.
Deliver the Apprentice Physician herbs before challenging Jingye in the Crimson Forest. Check the drops after the bride encounter rather than immediately leaving.
At the first Zhengdao Camp swordswoman encounter, leave by the right-hand chain to preserve the later arena route associated with 同心双鱼佩.
Preserve a return point
Keep manual saves at region entry and before its ending encounter. Compare the chapter quest route before continuing the main story.
